​ABOUT TERRY


Terry is from Redlands, California and an International award-winning artist. Terry's artwork is in private collections in over 20 countries. She continues to sculpt in ceramic and bronze, designs jewelry in precious metal and paints commission pet portraits in her studio.


She began her love for art as a young girl working in ceramics with her mother who also loved creating art. Art has always been a part of Terry’s life. As a breeder of top winning Afghan Hounds for over 40 years, her dogs have been her inspiration in her paintings and her sculptures. She interjects whimsical qualities in her artwork, capturing the spirit and the almost human like qualities of her animals in real life situations.


Terry is an avid plein air artist and has won many awards throughout the Southwest participating in sometimes week long events. Fascinated with impressionistic style paintings like those of Monet, she sought to learn a style of painting that would enhance her abilities by adding color and light to her subjects not only in her studio but on location as well. Capturing the light is the most important part of her paintings. "Painting in plein air has given me a new way to see light on my subjects and capture it in my paintings. The challenge is to capture it quickly, as it doesn't wait for you."

Using her skills as an outdoor painter and studying the landscape on location she has created many Dog Show Scenes some of which have been exhibited at the AKC museum of the Dog in St. Louis. Since the Pandemic, Terry has stayed busy painting several new series. Her “Backyard Series”, “Wild Animal Series”, “Horses”, “30 Day Challenge” a series of paintings from life one painting a day for 30 days, all the new paintings from the different series are now available here. Stay tuned for a new series “Dog Show Scenes of the Pandemic”.

”Full Circle” lost wax bronze has been accepted into the National Sculpture Society exhibition for California Sculptors. The exhibit opened Feb. 5 and closes Mar. 17, 2022. Bonita Museum and Cultural Center, Bonita, Ca. ​

Update on Poetry in Motion "The Poet" to his friends and "Paso Doble" both larger than life sculptures are now residing in Oslo, Norway. Check out the slide show on the bronze page, start to finish of making of a larger than life size lost wax bronze sculpture. Enjoy!

”Tehachapi Treasure” wins Best of Show at Banning Art Gallery fall festival show.

Terry will be the featured artist at the Wild West Festival in Banning at the Gilman Historic Ranch May 21 and 22, 2022.

Once again Terry will be participating in the Tehachapi Art’s Council Paint out and sell. Starting May 13th through the 16th, artist will meet and paint in the Tehachapi area. A reception and sale will be held July 22, 2022. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting event of artist from around the country.
