Dog Show Scenes
In 2004 Terry wanted to start painting dog show scenes. She has traveled to some of the most beautiful dog shows and to capture the scenes in her paintings is a wonderful feeling for the memories she has enjoyed for the past 40 years. Learning to paint in Plein Air has given Terry the knowledge of what is important in the scenes and to capture that scene on canvas. Santa Barbara Kennel Club saw what Terry was doing and commissioned her for the past 12 years to paint their Breeder's Showcase and now other scenes. Each year the painting is used for the cover of the catalog, trophies, sweatshirts, tote bags and greeting cards. Huge banners of the paintings adorn the grounds. They are auctioned off at the Breeder's Showcase and the proceeds go to help the SBKC.
